YIM 2011 was held at the historical city of Bhubaneswar, Orissa at the Mayfair hotel, an oasis of green and relaxation within the city. The location provided a perfect setting for the PDFs to informally interact with all the Institute Directors/Chairs as well as meet the YIs who have recently set up labs in India. The YIs got the opportunity to meet one another as well as representatives of funding agencies.We are grateful to the Institute of Life Sciences (www.ils.res.in)  for help with local arrangements.
