Job Summary:


As member of the in-house Technical Support Team, you will serve as a key technical lead in Premas Biotech-Illumina’s Customer Solutions Team based out of NCR.  You will act as a primary Technical contact for Illumina customers in NCR  and provide technical guidance regarding Illumina’s products and scientific support to assist in the interpretation and troubleshooting of experimental results for customers using Illumina’s high throughput genetic analysis systems(Array platform,NGS and Bead Express).  You will provide training to customers and to other commercial employees at Illumina on products, problem solving, and customer service skills..  As a member of the Customer Solutions Team you will also assist in the development and improvement of key commercial processes to ensure that Premas Biotech provides its customers with world class technical support.  Premas Biotech will provide you with hands-on product training, a competitive salary. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Professionally and efficiently triage, troubleshoot, and resolve complex customer complaints.

  • Troubleshoot issues related to Array /NGS run performance, user's technical skills, biochemistry/assay design, experimental design, software and instrumentation.

  • Provide technical guidance regarding Illumina’s products to existing and prospective customers.

  • Assist customers with the design and selection of assays/probes for custom products by utilizing in-house resources, and public and private databases.

  • Provide customer feedback to marketing team.

  • Develop, write and publish technical documentation and training materials to educate external and internal customers.

  • Provide training on Illumina’s products and services to new employees and customers

  • Assist in developing and improving key commercial applications in Agri,Vety and public health using Illumina platform.

  • Collaborate with key Biotech bodies like DBT,CSIR AND ICMR in fostering a  consultative positioning.

  • Ensure key performance metrics, including customer response time, issue resolution time, and departmental efficiency, are met or exceeded

 


Education and Experience:



  • Ph.D. (or M.S. + 3 years relevant experience) in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Genetics.

  • Hands-on laboratory experience using, developing, or troubleshooting a wide range of molecular biology protocols such as PCR, Automated sequencing, gene expression analysis, SNP genotyping and related protocols

  • Desirable to have Experience analyzing microarray data for gene expression analysis and/or genotyping analysis.

  • Desirable to have exposure on Automated Sequencing

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex problems.

  • Familiarity with molecular biology protocols such as PCR, microarray hybridizations,  or genotyping required.

  • Demonstrated ability to write technical or marketing documentation

  • Demonstrated training or teaching experience

  • Good  written and verbal communication.

  • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service

  • Written and oral fluency in English and Hindi.

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills required

  • Willing to travel up to 50%.

This programme provides an opportunity to Biotech Industry for training and selecting suitable manpower. The training period is for six months during which a trainee is paid stipend of Rs.8000/- per month and trainer company is paid a bench fee to cover the expenses for providing training. The advertisement for the programme is published in national newspapers once in a year in the month of June and online application forms for students and requisition forms for companies are available on website for submission. The final placement for training is done in October-November.
